Yoga classes (english)

Yoga classes,

Every week online

*En Apesanteur* (literally « in weightlessness ») is a French association promoting the practice of Yoga as a breath or a break, in our busy lives: to be here and now for the time of a session, to be aware of our body, our breathing and our feelings as if it were the first time we feel it.

Hatha Yoga will calm your mind while working on your physical body.

This year, we are happy to start weekly yoga class in English via live video sessions. Registration is imperative to access online courses (courses may be canceled if the number of registrants is insufficient). Purchase of tickets (book of 10 lessons, 20 lessons, or individually) is done online but in case of financial difficulties do not hesitate to contact me directly.

And if you want to know more about who I am.

Weekly online lessons

Weekly sessions last 1h30. They work on the sequence of Sun salutations (surya namaskara), holding different postures (asana), several breathing techniques (pranayama), as well as concentration techniques from kundalini yoga, tantric meditations and relaxation (yoga nidra).

Classroom classes, covid precautions, instructions for use:

The confinements are over, however life does not start quite as before. We must therefore follow the health measures of distancing and barrier gestures, everyone is therefore asked to:

  • stay at home if symptoms appear (fever, cough, sore throat, fever, respiratory discomfort …)

  • respect the social distancing meter, greet without shaking hands, kisses or hugs

  • wash your hands in the bathroom when arriving and leaving the room (or use hydroalcoholic gel)

  • wear your mask until the start of class: take it off once on the mat, put it back on at the end of class before moving

  • and as far as possible to come to class with your own mat (or a towel) and already dressed (limit the number of students in the locker rooms)

To respect the distances between each carpet, the places in rooms will be limited. This is why you are asked to register before coming, to be sure to have a place!

« Visio » course, instructions:

You live far away and prefer to take the course from home: it’s possible!

Via the zoom application, follow the course as if you were there. Your camera on and set on your mat will allow me to give you some corrections even if you are not in front of me.

This is why places are limited so that I can see each of you on my screen!

For beginners, it is nevertheless recommended to come and practice a few sessions in the classroom before trying the online courses.

If you need technical help, don’t hesitate to contact me outside of class, we can do a test together.

The link and the access code to the « zoom meeting » will be sent to registrants 15 minutes before the start of the course, to be able to join the course from the virtual waiting room . Please do not come at the last minute, and as with the classroom lessons, plan to arrive a few minutes early.

Online course, instructions:

You live far away and prefer to take the course from home: it’s possible! Via zoom application, follow the course as if you were here. Switch your camera on with your mat on frame, that will allow me to give you some corrections, even if you are not in front of me. (This is why places are limited so that I can see each of you on my screen!)

If you need technical help, don’t hesitate to contact me outside of class, we can do a test together.

Link to the « zoom meeting » will be sent to you, you can also find it in your reservations, in your personnal account. Please plan to arrive few minutes early.

You only need a comfortable outfit like T-shirt leggings and something to cover you at the end of sitting (socks, shawl). Unplug your mobile phone and let yourself be carried away …

A time for discussion often takes place at the end of the course or the workshop, in video or at the local café, it is an opportunity to get to know each other , to ask questions, to share about our yogic practice and the world around us!

Did you miss the last course?

You can practise whenever you want

Starting my yoga journey

Hélène is the best yoga teacher ever! I've tried yoga several times with several teachers, but the spritual blabla always made me run away. I was quite sceptical, but with Hélène's guidance I had really nice sessions! She is extremly helpful and attentive, explains a lot (she speaks english very well) and tries to meet everyone's needs. ❤️ I'm sure I will countinue the yoga journey with her. Merci Hélène!

Energy

I discovered sun salutation yoga for me when Hélène taught it to me. She explains it very well, full of enthusiasm and energy so it’s hard not liking to have yoga classes with her. I am looking forward to have many more lessons with her in the future.

Wow what calming and powerful yoga

Hélène’s deep knowledge and welcoming spirit can help everyone on their yoga path. With a good mix of postures, breathing practices, and meditation, you will feel more fully integrated when you leave class. For English speakers, she is happy to translate or lead a class in English, which I appreciate! Don’t miss her class.
